Hey! I’m Tanisha (she/her).

I pride myself on having strong inclusive and ethical values.

That being said…

You’ll still find me binge watching semi - problematic TV shows like love island (I know it’s trash but I can’t stop), overly invested in MAFS, and getting engrossed in niche documentaries about the weird and wonderful, think real life mermaids and twin flames.

I am a book hoarder, I have many a secret stash around the house (I can’t say too much otherwise they will be discovered and culled by my partner). I love growing veg, foraging and find spending time in nature healing.

I’m an open person, especially having worked in mental health. I am not easily shocked and I’m seriously non-judgemental. I live for the silly in life and really feel like life is too short to not have a good laugh and smile whenever you can.

Welcome!

More bits about me

It all started when I was planning my own wedding. It felt really important to book suppliers who represented my partner and I. We wanted LGBTQ+/POC owned photographers, food providers, queer friendly venue and bar - the whole shabang! But when it came to the ceremony, we couldn’t find anyone that represented both of us, and so the idea for ‘Lovestruck celebrancy’ was born! We all deserve to see ourselves reflected back, we deserve to work with people who represent us and on a wider scale, we need the wedding industry to move towards being more diverse and more inclusive - so here I am!

I am so excited to work with couples and families of all kinds and share in the joy of their special moment.

So, why celebrancy?

I’ve spent my whole career working with people. Over the past 15+ years I have worked as a mental health nurse, mental health trainer and therapist. I have had the privilege of working with people and families of all ages, listening to people’s life stories and helping them to understand themselves better.

I now work as a lecturer in mental health and deliver training in diversity, equity and inclusion - a job that I am so passionate about. You can always count on me to speak up and out about issues and not be a bystander when faced with any form of discrimination.

I am a published poet (I have even been shortlisted for a poetry prize! - get me!), written for a magazine, have chaired/MCd events, hosted conferences and featured on radio shows, guest panels and podcasts.

My experience has set me up really well to deliver well rounded, fun and vibrant ceremonies that capture the essence of your story and captivate your guests - I am so excited to work with you!

Life outside of celebrancy
